Carl George left pastoring a congregation in Florida to lead the Charles E Fuller Institute in Pasadena, CA. Working in partnership with Church Growth authors and leaders like C. Peter Wagner, John Wimber, Rick Warren, Bill Hybels, John Maxwell, Bob Logan and others, he helped train a generation of leaders in what has become the megachurch era. Just as the Fuller Institute's seminar ministry was launched, Carl had a life-changing bout with cancer. While recovering from surgery, and with the clarity provided by the uncertainty that exists before the matter of survival is confirmed, he aggressively extracted insights from the largest churches in the world and created ways to share those findings with pastors in the English speaking world. His writings deal with envisioning growth, leading organizations, discovering and overcoming barriers, and partnering with lay leaders to create effective, caring small groups. He resides in Greenville, SC, travelling as necessary to provide the diagnosis, planning and coaching support his clients request.
