Carla Panciera was born in Westerly, RI. She has published two collections of poetry, One of the Cimalores (Cider Press) and No Day, No Dusk, No Love (Bordighera). Her collection of short stories, Bewildered, was chosen by Pam Houston to receive AWP's Grace Paley Short Fiction Award and will be published by the University of Massachusetts press in 2014. She and her husband, Dennis Donoghue, have three daughters. Carla teaches high school English.
