A good starting point for anyone who has not seen or read the previous Buffy The Vampire Slayer seasons. This would technically be a reboot or alternate history. Buffy Summers is starting a new middle school in Cleveland and finds out she is a vampire slayer. It’s hard to be a teen let alone a slaye...
While its not a surprise to see magical creatures at this camp for hardcore lady-types, it's always fun to see which kind are going to stumble in. I loved meeting Seafarin' Karen and her attitude toward teamwork. It was great to see April trying so hard to recover from her faux-pas in the last set o...
#17 actually wraps up the events of the last volume, reviewed here. Then the next story really starts with the mermaids. I have to admit, I'm a bit like April when it comes to mermaids. And then these mermaids were these whole other amazing creatures, especially on the heels of reading Hunger Makes ...
4 Stars, Buy it Have I mentioned I love Bubbles the raccoon? Anyway this is an interesting beginning to a new story line (I think ) with a new camp instructor and some selkies and a werewolf. Not as funny as some of the other issues but still good so I’m going to give this 4 stars but it’s still a...
5 Stars, Buy it Ok so I’m getting a little used to the artist. But I’m still bothered by the noses a bit. April learns a hard lesson and what she had originally intended to happen when she messed around ended up happening naturally. A very good issue. Love the dyke mermaids and I continue to lo...
4.5 Stars Buy it And so the funny story line with the mermaids continue. The very dyky mermaids I must say. April is being selfish and Ripley is upset she might miss her event. Still great story line, funny and trouble. However the artist still stinks. Description from Amazon: April does her be...
Spoilers 5 Stars, Buy it Overall: Despite starting with an issue I didn’t like very much, i still want to give this volume 5 stars. I loved it a lot. They are funny and delightful. This is such a great read. After this I’ll be going back to re reading the individual issues again. Notes: Is...
This issue contains the conclusion to Mal and Molly's adventurous date! They have to carry out their own plan and make it work to get back to the others after what seems like days. Meanwhile..... will the others get a mundane badge? As usual, I loved this issue. It's hard not to love whatever thes...

Speaking of a diverse group, I love the cast of Lumberjanes. The whole summer camp for scouts setup that goes so very weirdly off the rails, while at the same time hitting all the traditional camp plotlines. Brilliant. The ghost stories are hilarious. Library copy
