CARON LEVIS is the author of the picture books, Ida, Always (Atheneum, 2016), Stuck with the Blooz (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt) and forthcoming titles from Atheneum and FSG. Her fiction story, Permission Slip, listed in the Best American Nonrequired Reading series and originally published in Fence Magazine, has recently been republished in, FAKES, a new anthology by WW Norton; A Whole Other, can be found in Sudden Flash Youth: 65 Short-Short Stories, published by Persea Books.Caron enjoys working with kids, using drama and writing to teach social, emotional, communication, and literacy skills. She is an MSW candidate, received her MFA in Creative Writing from the New School University and lives in her hometown of New York City. In the past she has worked hard to conquer her fear of headstands and her dislike of tomatoes. Recently, while at the Jentel writing residency in Wyoming, she got to work on her fear of snakes too.
