The concept is kind of interesting. Rant has more friends after death than he ever had when he was alive. That's so true. People pretend to know persons after they died. Yet they never even remember to call or make any kind of contact with such persons when they were alive. The rant is a bit o...

It's not everyday you read a book about rabies, the origins of God, time travel, and bumper cars. Seeing that this is a Chuck Palahniuk book, I shouldn't be surprised that this novel hops barriers and barrels through genres without a single fuck given for your comfort or confusion level. Buster "Ran...

As usual, Palahniuk delivers some truly strange and twisted characters and plot lines. Tooth Fairies, Egyptian tomb bats, spider bite boners, rare coins, droolers and Easter eggs. This one is a tale of Rant Casey, told thru multiple personal stories from his friends and acquaintances. Odd and engagi...

Thank goodness I borrowed it from library. Thank goodness I never waste any money to buy this. Because why, this book bored me to hell and for the second time in my life, I couldn't finish a book. Or else, I will throw a massive hissy fit and claw any unlucky soul's face.

30 pages in and I was annoyed. It's not that the over-the-top descriptions of the perverse or the grotesque grossed me out or shocked me, it's that Chuck P was trying to shock me. Seriously man, just tell me a good story. I don't care about the gimmicks.

This is a really good book. IF there's one word that defines it, that's madness. I loved every second of it, and even though at times it's really gross, you get used to all the dirty things and after a while it just flows. In a way, you already know what's going to happen in the end, but in another ...

This story is so creepy, twisted and geniunely surprising, I find it hard to say anything at all... The atmosphere of autenticity Palahniuk created in this is so compelling, you'd almost believe it happend. Or maybe it did... (And I grasped the idea of the markings on the pages somewhere mid-book....

WTF did I just read and why did I finish it? This book is a mish-mash of narrators, grossness, time travel, car crashes, a rabies plague, segregation and dull characters. I kept hoping it would improve and then it was just over. This story somewhat follows a dull-witted character named Buster or ...

What more can you say in a review of any Palahniuk book, but that the man pays so much attention to the details of the structure of his stories. Rant comes together in layers and pieces, almost like a star condensing and coming full form through the swirling addition of hydrogen and helium, each re...

This book by Chuck was one that many didn't like. I disagree with them all. He brings a new kind of storytelling that had me on the edge of my seat. He also brings more Science Fiction to this story where his other books have been more of a messed up, realistic take on life.
