“Parting is such sweet sorrow, according to the bards. I wouldn’t know, myself. I never parted anyone.” He mimed ripping someone in half, then got an odd expression on his face. “Well. Just the one time, really. Doesn’t count.” - Myrnin Down to the sixth installment in the Series and I'm not disap...

This will be a mini-review because I have no idea what to write in the first place. So get ready for some good rambling.Carpe Corpus, or as my good friend Google likes to call it, “seize the body” (weird, huh?) is a fancy schmancy way of playing with the old “Carpe Diem” (seize the day) gig as an an...

Where in the heck do I begin here? It seems that every installment of Morganville Vampires not only gets more intense but the stakes just keep getting higher. When comparing CARPE CORPUS to the others in the series, I'd have to say that it isn't my favorite, but is definitely worth the 4 glasses rating. The first 1/3 of the book was a little slow for me, but when the action...

Morganville is under the control of Bishop. All resistance is quashed and even Claire is forced to obey with the magical tattoo that compels her will. The whole town is under Bishop’s brutal regime, anyone walking around after dark can expected to be hunted and killed by vampires loyal to Bishop and...

I wasn't too sure about how this one was going to start after the cliffhanger in the last one. I'd planned on going to bed last night right after I finished Feast of Fools, but the cliffhanger made me start this one and read about 3 chapters of it before I went to bed last night. Yeah, I was a littl...

Definitely more gruesome and horrific than the other books but very capturing. The story sucks you in and doesn't let go. Ther are twist tuns and surprised everywhere! A great addition to the overall story line.
