I laughed, and I grimaced, and I ran a gamut of other emotions, from surprise, to disbelief, to pain and sympathy. I started to follow a print while listening because at first I did not always catch what Fisher was saying. There was much pausing, and after a while I kept doing it because there are...

Wishful Drinking - Carrie Fisher I'm not much of a fan of memoirs or autobiographies but you know, Carrie Fisher. Parts melodramatic, parts hysterical. Overall it was an ok way to past the time.

For more reviews, check out my blog: Craft-CycleThis was an entertaining read. I picked up a copy of the audiobook from the library to listen to while driving for work. The book is basically a collection of thoughts, stories, anecdotes, and jokes. I'll admit, I didn't really know much about Carrie F...

[Grrrrrr. Another edition I "had to" create--yes, knowing full well I could just shelve one that wasn't "my" edition, but OCD.] Note that the two stars I am assigning to this book are a "Goodreads" ** and not an Amazon **. It's more like an Amazon ***. This book is fair... There are parts of i...

The urge to dissolve into a weeping mess while reading this is so great because we really need Fisher, we truly do. This is a bittersweet feeling to reading this memoir/diary from her time on Star Wars: New Hope. And this review is going to go off the rails right here because WTF Mde Tussads???? You...

I might review it later when I'm less sleep deprived. For now, I'll just say: if you loved Carrie and you haven't read this, give it a shot.

Definitely do the audiobook if that is an option. I mean, we're all going to read it in her voice anyway, why not get the intended inflections straight from her. This was up for a Hugo this year for Best Related Work. The voting packet only includes an excerpt, but I happened to fortunately alread...

I Picked Up This Book Because: Celebrity bios are my thing now. The Story: Carrie is an interesting lady. In this book she is very open about her life, her family and her struggles. The Random Thoughts: The Score Card: 3.5 Stars

Przyznaję szczerze, pewnie jak większość "szarych ludzi" znam Carrie Fisher głównie z roli księżniczki Lei w Gwiezdnych Wojnach. No i jako córkę Debbie Reynolds, ikony amerykańskiego kina. Tyle. Nie jestem ani wierną fanką, ani zaciekłą przeciwniczką. Właściwie nic o niej nie wiedziałam (i pewnie da...
