I probably haven't read this exact collection, but for the concept, questions he digs out from the bottom of the pile and, generally, mock-outraged, educated pub talk, all the stars in the bowl.

While a lot of the information is quite dated now, even 15-20 years later, this is a fun book to read. I love this kind of thing. Before there was the internet, there was an amusing section of books that served to answer one's random questions. Before that, I read outdated Encyclopedia Britannicas, which were not nearly as entertaining or as amusing.
