Charles believes in honor, duty, and country. He joined the military and spent twenty years to protect the rights of himself and others, and to ensure that Americans keep their freedom. After four years in the Air Force and sixteen years in the Army, he retired. Charles was born in Gibsland, LA, moved to Cullen, LA, and went to Brown high school in Springhill, LA. Charles promised himself he would one day wear a cap and gown, and graduate. During grade school he was suspended from school property for fighting, and was not allowed to attend his class graduation. He went into the military before graduating from high school, On May 12, 1984, he graduated from Shaw University, Raleigh, NC, with a B.A. degree in criminal justice. He was so happy to march across that stage, he still has the cap and gown. Charles is a born-again Christian and is a member of a good local church. He volunteers his time to help keep the area around his church and the street in front of it picked up of debris. Many thank him, but it is not necessary. Charles loves golfing, fishing, and traveling.
