Charles Parrish is an Assistant Professor of Sport Management in the College of Business at Western Carolina University (North Carolina, USA). His primary research interests include sport facility and event management and sport based fandom. He has authored multiple peer reviewed articles and presented his research at industry and academic conferences. Charles' co-edited four volume reference work 'Sports Around the World: History, Culture, and Practice' was selected for the 2012 Best Reference award by the Library Journal. His latest co-authored book 'Soccer Around the World: A Cultural Guide to the World's Favorite Sport' was released in April 2014.
