Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is another great classic by Ronald Dahl. This story is all about adventure, creativity, imagination, and priorities. This book would be great for teaching what is important in life (Charlie's willingness to give up the grand prize for his family). This book would s...

This book is a great way to engage some readers who may be disinterested, but have big imaginations. This book allows for plenty of imagination and creativity and is a "chapter book." Better Than I RememberedI started reading this as a child but only got about 3/4 through. I don't know why I never finished it. Anyway, this book was a hoot. It's both sad and funny and full of life lessons. It's the perfect read for a child or an adult.

I think I missed this one as a child. Probably because that movie terrified me. It's scary. The Witches movie also scared me when I was younger but I did end up reading that book. It's a fun book, but not my favorite Roald Dahl.
