Bunny has a problem, she can't get Fairer Than off her mind! She braves the Enchanted Forest to find the dark fairy and tell her to lift her charms. But Fairer Than never enchanted Bunny, and even a perfect cemetery fête with her vampire girlfriend, Dean, can't keep Bunny's mind off Fairer Than. What is this seductive power, one that can draw in a teen witch? As it turns out, Fairer Than is more than just a gorgeous, heart-breaking fairy, in the continuation of "The Wrecking Faerie"!A paranormal, lesbian romance that was nominated for a Gaylactic Spectrum award:Meet magical witch girl Bunny, a good teen witch happily attending Haunt High, drinking Ghost Shakes at Shivers, and dancing her supernatural midnights away at cemetery spook fetes. Dean is her perfect greaser, vampire girlfriend, but beyond hotrods and motorcycles lies something more in the Enchanted Forest: fairies. And even among such ancient, preternatural denizens, they've someone to fear, namely the notorious heart breaker and home wrecker, the dark fairy, Fairer Than.Fairer Than:Gorgeous, red-haired, stronger than a fairy ought to be, and smoldering in more ways than one. Her reputation has Daughters of the Faerie Court flee before her lest they fall for her charms. And when Fairer Than comes to Little Salem, she just happens to notice Bunny.Created, written, and drawn by Elizabeth Watasin—author of the steampunk novel series The Dark Victorian—Charm School was originally a comic book series released during the height of the 1990s’ independent publisher movement. Paying homage to 1950s-style teen romances and pinup art, as seen through the lens of shoujo manga, this paranormal lesbian romance earned accolades, award nominations, and a legion of fans during its run—and now Watasin and her A-Girl Studio publishing house are preparing to introduce Bunny, Dean, and Fairer Than to a new comic-reading audience.“I think it’s time to bring Charm School to a new generation of LGBT-friendly readers and to girls and women looking for stories with warm, delightful female characters swept up in unexpected romantic adventures. If you didn’t catch the story the first time around, you’re in for a treat.”—Elizabeth Watasin, creator of Charm School“Watasin’s sense of layouts creates nicely framed pages, and balances black and white spaces skillfully. Her faces are individual and emotional, are charming. Her dialogue’s natural and in fact is at times exciting.”—Comic Book Collectors Blog“Elizabeth Watasin . . . is the finest black and white artist shy of the Hernandez Brothers of Love and Rockets fame.”—Goodreads

5.0 Charm School, Issue #2
5 Stars Self Purchase for kindle. This is a re-read review This issue is more anxiety provoking than the first since Fairer than is more aggressive in pursuing Bunny. I forgot how annoying it is to read a series in single issues instead of waiting for the graphic novel. They aren’t long enough....
