Q:“You ever wonder what it’s like to be them?”Lesley looked back at me. “You mean instead of having magic?”Lesley was one of the few people without magic who was allowed to know about Adepts and Reapers. I wasn’t sure if she knew the entire story, but there was an advantage to not knowing too much—h...

Another series I’ve been wanting to finish, I finally finish it. And while the story is good, I felt like the end of the series lacked.1. Plot. Plot was good but it moved a bit so slowly. For me, it was like the characters were doing the exact thing as they have before in the first two books. Nothin...
This book is the reason for my sunburn! I spent practically all day on the patio reading without moving a whole lot. Worth it though. Again it suffers from predictability. This series actually reminds me a LOT of Hex Hall with its teenage drama stuff. But I suppose that makes sense, it's a teenage p...
*Genre: Urban Fantasy**Rating: 3.0 *Review*Chloe Neill's Charmfall is the third book in the Dark Elite series. The story pretty much picks up around the time Hexbound left off. Lily is still a junior at the all-girls school St. Sophia’s. She is still an Adept, or a magic user who can use Firespell a...
A bit disappointing after the first two; not much really happened and I was left frustrated by the romance aspect or lack thereof. Lilly and Jason just seemed a bit dull and I found Sebastien to be much more interesting. Apparently this is how the series ends. The author has stated that she was cont...
Cool premise but a central mystery that didn't go anywhere, I'm not sure if I want to go back and read the preceding two books. From other reviews, CHARMFALL is where the overall series plot actually start happening, so I may just hang on and see where it goes next.
This was another charming episode in the Dark Elite series. I love that the author manages to combine the magical with the mundane as can be evidenced in the quote I chose. These are high school kids and they behave like them. I really like the friendship between Lily and Scout. And I like the relat...
What kind of lame ass ending was that!?I've waited so long for this that I can't remember what happened in the previous installments: can anyone please point me to some exhaustive summaries, so I don't have to re-read the previous books?
A bit disappointing. Nothing really happened, and the plot didn't move forward. We're still in the same place now that we were at the end of the second book. Bummer!Full review to come.
