Charmi Keranen (1964-) was born in Mishawaka, Indiana. She attended Indiana University Bloomington and South Bend, where she earned a BA in English. For over 20 yeasr she has worked as a scopist and proofreader of court transcripts. Her poetry has appeared in numerous literary journals including Passages North, Hot Metal Bridge, Sugar House Review, Inter|rupture, and The Dirty Napkin. She is the author of The Afterlife is a Dry County (Big Wonderful Press, 2011.)
