by Chelsea Handler
It had some hilarious moments.3.5 stars
As controversial as Chelsea Handler is, I love her brand of irreverent comedy. Can't be mad at someone who doesn't take herself and the world too seriously. I cracked up nonstop reading My Horizontal Life: A Collection of One-Night Stands but this one didn't do it for me. The first chapter out of th...
3.5 starsThis collection of essays was a quick read for me. Some had me laughing hysterically, and others were more "The joke? Dungeddit..." types, but overall, a pretty enjoyable read. I mean, the book starts off with Chelsea's recollection of learning how to masturbate at 8 and quickly becoming ad...
I'm actually surprised that I gave this a 3 instead of a 4, but looking back having finished it a week ago, I stand by my decision. Compared to 'Are You There, Vodka?' it isn't as strong and for the most parts the stories aren't as funny. It doesn't help that I horribly dislike Chelsea Handler as ...
This has to be one of the funniest books I have read in awhile. I laughed so hard my stomach hurt.... but I kept on reading because it was laugh out loud funny. I love watching her show and her book has a similar taste to it.
A funny compilation of stories told with Chelsea's charm, which managed to save some of the more mundane stories. While a few stories held no interest for me, I did especially enjoy the story about Chunk, the story about how much of a nitwit her father is and the story about fooling Ted into attendi...
This book was boring. Chelsea Handler had a great book with Are You There Vodka? It's Me, Chelsea. Her other books, including this one, have left alot to be desired. I just thought it wasn't funny and went for the shock factor versus good writing.
Expected a LOT more.
This book is really 3.5 stars. If it hadn't fizzled at the end, I would have given it 4.The book starts off with a bang (hence the title?). The first chapter is called "The Feeling" and it's all about how Chelsea discovered masturbation when she was in the 3rd grade. I could not believe it. The stor...
Regardless of her shameless approach to, well, everything, I really do like Chelsea Handler. Not only is she absolutely hilarious in all of her books and on her cable show Chelsea Lately, but she is completely comfortable being who she is, loud and proud. I picked up her first book, My Horizontal ...
