This is Book 3 of the Reluctant Brides Trilogy, the final story of the series. I haven't read the other two books. Looking forward to read them. So far this is a great story but I dislike the hero.
A History Nut's Romantic State of Mind
Easy read, no chores trying to read the book. As much as a cad that Michael was, I didn't really dislike him. I imagine he is a difficult hero to like, lying to Fanny and treating her like a mistress while he carried on his betrothal plan to the evil Rebecca. I actually thought his relationship with...

I enjoyed reading Complete Abandon by Cheryl Holt. I loved the humor in Emma and John's fantastic story. Complete Abandon is well written and has lovable characters, drama, a bit of action and plenty of sizzle. I look forward to my next read by Cheryl Holt. Complete Abandon is a complete book, n...

Incredibly superficial on all levels. Thin setting, thin characters, weak plot. Dialogue was cute but often felt entirely too modern.

The plot of this historical romance was pretty good with an exciting ending but the story had way too much detail. I started skimming all but dialogue pretty early but I did finish. Lady Penelope is being married off to an old earl and Lucas is seeking revenge for his family when their paths cross...

Very sensuous, but the story line gets tossed about as the conflicts emerge. The hero's (James) treatment of the heroine (Abigail) becomes more and more callous, perhaps borderline for some in the forgiveness department, but Holt does a nice job in expressing Abigail's perspective and what she wants...

Regency, romance and smutty fluff, just how i like it =). A quick read with a twist or two. Love Cheryl Holt as a writer.

Abigail needs help now that her younger sister is about to debute, so she seeks the advice of the notorious James. What is supposed to just be verbal advice soon turns into more when they can´t restist each other. The first part is fluffy when they start to explore, but soon a twist and a malevolent...
