A GAMER'S ALPHABET (2014, POW!), a lively look at the language of video games geared for gamers (and nongamers) of all levels. My next book for young readers, to be published in April on the 150th anniversary of Reconstruction, is THE AMAZING AGE OF JOHN ROY LYNCH (2015, Eerdmans). My other upcoming books include THE NUTCRACKER COMES TO AMERICA: HOW THREE BALLET-LOVING BROTHERS CREATED A HOLIDAY TRADITION (2015, Millbrook) and WHOOSH! We don't own this book, but perhaps we should as it's a perennial favorite to check out from the library. It's funny and clever with very nice detailed illustrations.
