This was my first reading of this fairy tale, and I don't know what to say about it. I mean, I knew it was very different from, say, the Disney movie, and I knew it was kind of awful, but damn. I don't know what to think about it because I kind of hated the mermaid and the prince, and just kept scof...

Original Title: Herr der Diebe I think this novel might be aimed at children a bit younger still than the Inkworld-trilogy. But, if you can put aside the fact that it is completely unbelievable, it's a very enjoyable read. It's about a bunch of kids in Venice, who have their own underground soci...

Marie Curie is fascinating, but I don't think this book does her full justice at all. The story is told in a choppy, dull yet oddly melodramatic fashion and just didn't do much for me. The illustrations are hazy and boring and don't add to the story at all. Disappointing.

This is the story of how Louis Pasteur expanded on the understanding of microbes - more specifically, how bacteria grow via biogenesis versus the previously held belief in spontaneous generation. This book outlines the way in which Pasteur came to this field of study and how he conducted his experi...

The story is amazing however, since it's classic children book, I'm always have trouble reading it because it's hard to digest the English.

Such a strange story, but what else can you expect from Hans Christian Andersen?! I love the fact that the story is Scandinavian and Sweden's Lappland is featured. I'm amused by all things Scandinavian at this point. This particular edition is gorgeous. The illustrations and the clever self-cover and...
