This was a short story that did not live up to my expectations. Like another reviewer mentioned, I found it in need of some editing, and the story itself was fractured. I may still try to read another of Cantrell's books, because the concepts are interesting. I borrowed this through Amazon Prime.
This was a quick, slightly nerdy sci-fi that kept me interested with a few slightly odd characters and a rather different writing style. I quickly found that what I expected to happen didn't happen, and while the world didn't seem like a particularly nice place in this story, the characters made do....
