Though raised in North Carolina, Christian T. Collins Winn now lives in the Twin Cities metro area in chilly Minnesota, where he is Professor of Historical and Systematic Theology and the Chair of the Biblical and Theological Studies at Bethel University, St. Paul, MN. He completed a PhD in Theological and Religious Studies at Drew University in 2006 and his areas of interest and research include the theology of Karl Barth, the life and thoughts of the Blumhardts, the history of Pietism, eschatology, political theology, inter-faith dialogue, ecumenism, and the historiography of evangelicalism. Collins Winn is the author or editor of seven books including "Jesus is Victor!" The Significance of the Blumhardts for the Theology of Karl Barth (2009), and Reclaiming Pietism: Retrieving an Evangelical Tradition (2015), co-authored with Roger Olson. He is also author of numerous book chapters and journal articles and has received grants from the Lilly Fellows program, the Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst, and the John Templeton Fund. Collins Winn is an ordained minister in the American Baptist Churches (USA). He enjoys playing basketball with his two sons, and watching good movies with his lovely wife and two cats.
