Christina F. York looks at writing like an all-you-can-eat buffet: she has to try a little bit of everything. She has written business and technical non-fiction, erotica, action-adventure, SF, fantasy, romance, YA, and various combinations of all of the above. She has always loved words, in every form. Her first foray into publishing, as the ten-year-old reporter, editor and publisher of a one-page neighborhood newspaper, lasted only a few weeks. During the enforced retirement that followed, she finished grade school, high school, and college, married, had a couple kids, divorced, re-married, and eventually found her way back to writing. An Oregon native, Christina has always lived on the West Coast. After growing up in the suburbs of L.A., she spent many years in and around Seattle, moved to Eugene, Oregon, and eventually settled on the rugged Oregon coast, where she can see the ocean from her office window. She shares her home with her husband, writer J. Steven York, and a couple of very spoiled cats. She is currently at work on a mystery for Berkley Prime Crime (MURDER BUYS A T-SHIRT) and another for Tsunami Ridge Publishing (STRUNG UP). She can be found on Facebook (Christina York), Twitter (@christinafyork and @christymystery), Webpage www.YorkWriters.com, and on her mystery blog (http://www.christymystery.com/).

I got this for $1.99 on sale hoping to buy the others as well after reading it. The rest of the series has gone back to normal price at $7.99 per short story! At under 100 pages each, there is no way to justify the price... Very disappointing. The story was interesting and well worth $1.99 but I w...

I like to get short story anthologies, because they're interruptable (I have issues with putting a book down mid-plot to go do something else; I'm not good at it), they often introduce new writers or allow a favorite and much-read author to explore genres other than what I normally see them in, and ...

Is this the best collection of fairy tale retellings? No. The book is about half good and half bad. Stand out stories include:"Shall We Dance" by C. S. Friedman. This is story has a very good line about dung. Honest."Bitter Fruit" by Rosemary Edgehill. The type of spooky story you have to read...

These little short stories were good on the most part. I was exposed to quite a few new authors I really enjoyed. I think I would actually enjoy having some of those domestic witch genes to make cleaning easier.
