Christine Husom has been writing and creating stories since the age of six, and realized her dream of getting published in 2008. A long-time mystery lover, Husom served with the Wright County Sheriff's Department and trained with the St. Paul Police Department where she gained firsthand knowledge of law enforcement policies and procedures.She is the author of the Winnebago County Mysteries; suspense-filled police procedurals set in central Minnesota, including Murder in Winnebago County, Buried in Wolf Lake, An Altar by the River, The Noding Field Mystery, and Secret in Whitetail Lake. And also authors the Snow Globe Shop Mysteries from Penguin Random House, Berkley Prime Crime. They're character-driven cozies, also set in Minnesota and include Snow Way Out and The Iced Princess. Frosty the Dead Man will be released in 2016.Husom has stories in four anthologies; Novel Writing Tips and Techniques from Authors of Second Wind Publishing, Love is on the Wind, Murder in the Wind, and Festival of Crime. She wrote a collaborative novel, Rubicon Ranch: Riley's Story, with eight other authors, and co-edited Festival of Crime for Nodin Press.She was nominated for the Minnesota Book Award in 2010 and 2012, 2013, and 2015 and the IPPY award in 2009 and 2012. She was selected to be the moderator at author panels for Malice Domestic, 2015, and Bouchercon, 2015. Husom is a member of Mystery Writers of America, the National Sisters in Crime, and active with the Twin Cities Sisters in Crime.
