Chris Wenger has worked in the criminal justice field for more years than she cares to remember. She has a dual master's degree in Probation and Parole Studies and Sociology from Fordham University, but the knowledge gained from such studies certainly did not prepare her for what she loves to do the most--writing romance and mysteries! Her first book, THE LADY AND THE COWBOY, a western historical, was written for beginning adult readers and was sold to Laubach Literacy. In 1998, it was chosen by the Publishers Liaison Committee of the Public Library Association's Adult Lifelong Learning Section as one of the "Top Titles for Adult New Readers." Chris currently writes for Harlequin Books. THE COWBOY WAY was released in January 2005. Since then, she has published seven books. HOW TO LASSO A COWBOY was a finalist in the Central NY Writers Awards in 2011. LASSOED INTO MARRIAGE will be available in June of 2013. Chris's first cozy mystery, called DO OR DINER, will be available in August of 2013 from Pengin Obsidian Books. A native Central New Yorker, she enjoys watching professional bull riding and rodeo with her favorite cowboy, her husband Jim.

I understand publishing companies big and small are struggling with the changes going on in the book world, but I have to ask: did Penguin lay off all their editors? I enjoyed parts of this novel, but in the end I was left a bit wanting with the romance. Each characters seemed so intent on their own agenda I didn't quite believe their connection in the end.
