Say what you will about Amy Lane but don't say she can't write. This is a sweet, little story about Kit Allen, an overweight accountant who falls for his thin, little, perky assistant, Jesse. Yes, this is short but it's chock full of good writing and very little angst and lots of interesting charact...
God! This little book was perfect! I love to read novellas when they manage to incorporate a legit, entire story and this book is a great example. The character of Kit was originally unlikeable but he transforms himself and, along the way, earns the reader's respect and the love of his office assi...
What I liked was how Kit broke out of his old life and made a new one for himself. I also liked Jesse, his pretty, young assistant. But: I didn't really feel the romance so much. It was still a nice read, especially the Danny-Fit-part in the end, but it lacked a bit in the humor department and also ...
This is a sweet, uplifting story about Kit, who sees himself as a pudgy, nerdy accountant. He decides to make some changes in his hum-drum life when he meets his vibrant new assistant, Jesse. This is told from Kit’s perspective, and his inner dialogue is at times very amusing. Both guys have flaws...
*sniffs the air*Do you smell that? No?It's not the spirit of Christmas, dah-ling.It's the spirit of Danny Fit, sweating moistness in the air!I'm in such a nice mood after reading this! I'm even using more than one exclaimation point!!

He moves out of his mother's house, starts working out, and maybe has a crush on who he believes are unattainable men, his new assistant Kit and the DVD workout guru, Danny Fit. This is a sweet one! I lik...
Cute story. It had the ubiquiutous Amy Lane angst, but this time it was more second-hand. So I only teared up slightly at one brief passage. I think I may also have laughed a little less than is typical, too. But it was a nice read, if not especially deep.
