Christopher Burns is editor of the Seashell Anthology of Great Poetry, (Random House, 1995), and author of the novel, Island Wilderness; Imagining the Early Years of Martha's Vineyard which won honorable mention for fiction in the annual IPPY awards of 2005. Deadly Decisions; How False Knowledge Sank the Titanic, Blew Up the Shuttle and Led America into War, published in 2009, was widely praised as a study of how we manage information, alone and in groups. His latest novel, In Sorrow All Our Days is a quirky love story drawing in part on the characters he grew up with in the small towns north of Boston. He is a former senior executive at the Washington Post and the Minneapolis Star and Tribune, and Executive Editor of UPI, the world wide wire service. An amateur musician, ex-army officer and father of five, he now lives with his wife in Ipswich, at the edge of the great salt marsh.
