Although Christopher grew up in Texas, a desire to see the world took him down to Brazil in the late nineties. His love for Brazilian culture led him to work there, live there, and build a famliy there. And his passion for Brazilian history and folklore led to his creation of The Elephant and Macaw Banner, a fantasy series set in sixteenth-century colonial Brazil. "The Fortuitous Meeting of Gerard van Oost and Oludara" is the first story set in that world. It is a 2010 Nebula Award Finalist for Best Novelette.Christopher worked in video games for more than a decade, culminating in a time as Creative Director of Ubisoft Brazil. During his career, he participated in the creation of thirty published titles.He currently works as a professor at UniRitter, teaching digital narratives and video game production.Christopher lives in Porto Alegre, Brazil, with his wife Fernanda and son Lynx.
