Christopher Marsh (né Surosky) teaches at the US Army School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS), Fort Leavenworth, KS. Prior to joining the faculty at SAMS, he was an instructor at the US Air Force Special Operations School, Hurlburt Field, Florida, where he taught European Affairs, counter-terrorism, and counter-insurgency warfare. Earlier he had served with the Army's Human Terrain System. Between 1999-2011, Dr. Marsh was a professor of political science at Baylor University, where he held numerous appointments, including director of the J.M. Dawson Institute of Church-State Studies, director of the Keston Center for Religion, Politics, & Society, and director of the MA program in international relations.Dr. Marsh's research and teaching interests focus on the intersection of religion, violence, and ethnic conflict, particularly in post-communist societies. His most recent book is Russian Foreign Policy (co-authored with Nikolas Gvosdev of the US Naval War College).
