I'm an ex-hot-rodder, former police officer, certified firearms instructor and retired licensed private investigator. Most of my writing has been for the police and firearms fields. Instinct Combat Shooting has now been in continuous print for over 25 years and has become a standard police training tactic. Though Circa 1957 was out-of-print for many years, the demand for used copies on Amazon.com indicated a high interest based on prices higher than the original selling price. Thus the publisher asked me to write additional material for a 2nd edition - now available on Amazon.com. This coming-of-age, set-in-the-fifties, historically and technically correct novel is more of an autobiography. I didn't set out to write it that way, but I couldn't come up with stuff better than what really happened. The Way It Way, Nostalgic Tales of Hot Rods and Romance, is a collection of car-intensive short stories. Almost all have seen publication in various car or literary magazines - some as many as half-a-dozen times. All of the stories are void of graphic sex and course language and many have unique twist endings. Because the market is small for this genre, you might want to order a copy before it's out-of-print.Today, I live on a farm in southern Ohio and drive a 1971 El Camino and keep for my "farm vehicle" a 1948 Jeep. I bought both fully restored and figured for what I paid, I could have purchased a brand new F150 and ATV. However, in ten or more years the '71 and '48 will still be worth what I paid while the "new" Ford and ATV might be worth considerably less.
