Wonderful current take on the Cinderella story. It was cute and funny, comparing Edna and Ella and their happily ever after.
This little fable about Cinderella's plain but hard-working neighbor Edna is cute but annoyingly obvious and preachy in a way that I had shoved down my throat all my school-years. I'm sure anyone over age 5 would guess from the beginning that our sympathies are meant to be with with the upbeat Edna ...
Cinderella's next door neighbor is in a similar situation, but handles herself much differently. She is more sensible, practical and loves a good joke.
I read this when I was learning English. This book is cute and I am surprised I still remember this.
