Ugh, I remember reading this book as a kid, but I don't remember it being this racist. Why are they yellow? Why do they all look the same? Why do people still buy and read this book? Ew ew ew.

Who hasn't read this tale of the five Chinese brothers with extra-ordinary powers? Now, we prefer, X-Men and Spider-Man and similar other super-heroes, but in childhood days listening to even the silliest tales like The Five Chinese Brothers used to be so exciting to acquaint with.

bonus points for use of parsnips.Robert McCloskey can do no wrong, and this is a delightful story by Ms. Bishop to boot.
