I lived under a rock before I read Zagajewski.
Translated from Polish (by the incredible Cavanagh, of course) yet his words fall with a fluidity and natural, unforced style that really speaks to me. I really liked "Impossible" and "Corridor."
Read it through once. After I go through again, I'll have a better grasp on what to say. For now: "eloquent".

Any fault I find with these poems I ascribe to the vagaries of translation. I wish I could read these in the original Polish. Whatever pale echoes these might be, they are yet powerful and true. "This terrifying world is not devoid of charms..."
