Claudia Gabel was born in Roanoke, VA, raised in Binghamton, NY, and moved to Manhattan after studying abroad in London during her senior year in college. She planned to pursue a career in higher education until a side-job as an editorial assistant at a large book publisher permanently redirected her career course. Claudia worked as an editor in the adult divisions of several major publishing houses, then made the move to children's books, where she hoped to inspire, educate, and entertain young readers. Along the way, she began writing novels of her own. Her first series, IN OR OUT, was based on her experiences as a freshman in high school. She wrote her mash-up novel, ROMEO & JULIET & VAMPIRES, for readers who were looking to indulge in a fun twist on William Shakespeare. And her latest novels, ELUSION and ETHERWORLD, co-written with fellow author Cheryl Klam, is a glimpse into the near-future, where a girl discovers that a popular alternate reality app is not exactly what it seems. Claudia lives in New York City with her husband and daughter.

70 authors contribute stories to this anthology about their experiences with bullying as victims, bullies, or observers. Normally for anthologies I go through each story separately, but I’d feel weird about doing that with this book since these are all personal stories the authors are contributing...

The writing was fairly good, but nothing in this story was able to interest me. The idea of the story sounde...

A dystopia-lite, romance-lite, mystery-lite story that I had fun with. I like VR stories and Regan's quest to figure out what happened to her father and his creation kept me engaged. My biggest bump was that I didn't realize it was book one of a series. As I slid into home with this, I was looking f...

You all know me, if a book is hugely polarized in the blogger world I have to read it. When there's so much hate spewed against it on one side, and so much love on the other side, I must figure out which side I fall on. I had absolutely no expectations one way or the other when I picked up Elusion f...

Engaging story! Earth is unsafe because of pollutants. One man has a vision to share nature and paradise through virtual technology. But what happens when it all falls apart? What happens when there is another option? I want to go to Etherworld. Great book!
