Born in Toronto, I developed a love of writing at an early age. My first "movie" aired on the local cable channel when I was 13. At 14 my family moved to Melbourne, Australia, and in high school I was the first-ever student to write a play for the school's drama festival. I returned to Toronto to take Radio and TV Arts at Ryerson University, majoring in writing. This led to a first career, in television production, where I wrote for commercials, ethnic programming, a fishing show, Canada's Gemini Awards, and CTV's Winter and Summer Olympic coverage. In 1994 I took a chance to test my mettle in the world of golf, and successfully qualified to become a golf professional. It soon became obvious my strength lay with teaching, and that teaching combined with my writing history led to the creation of "Hit Down Dammit!" - a golf instruction book that explains the workings of the golf swing as it revolves around the physical need to hit down at a golf ball to make it go up, and straight. The success of Hit Down Dammit! opened a lot of doors; I now have a series of instructional DVDs, and have added "Teach Your Kid Golf", "Why You Suck at Golf" "Mystic Links" and "Swing Issues" to my inventory of golf-related books. Also completed is a golf-themed screenplay called "Senior Tour" and two plays to be staged in 2015. I am fortunate to live in beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, home to possibly the most coffee shops anywhere (where I do my best work :) ).
