A bit too long, but worth it. Awesome story. I wanted to throttle Keira quite often, but she acknowledged her shortcomings so quickly, I couldn't stay upset. The ending wrapped up real quick and neat, but I'm cool with it. Definitely recommend this one.
This was a really neat first book. I can't wait to read the next one. I liked reading about Kiera's assignment and what her job entailed, as well as the exploration of the planet and whether or not it would go in enemy hands. Very fast paced and well written - overall a great read.
Kinda sucked me in like one of those SciFy channel movies. I also noticed that Kiera named the Buri king, Thor, before she could understand his language, but continued to do so even after they could communicate. Will most likely read the next one.
Aliens? They may not be on "Old Earth", but the Buri are more like another tribe than another species. They speak a different language and are more spiritual, but they're still human in my opinion.
