Since I was eleven years old, I've know I wanted to write books, but it wasn't until I picked up my first romance (an alien abduction slave and master book) that I knew what I wanted to write. Although I got side tracked with school, working as a Veterinary Technician, and eventually having my two beautiful babies, when we moved to Idaho in the dead of winter, with one car and all the books on my shelves read a dozen times, I finally sat down and started writing my first book. It was terrible, as most first novels are, and it will never see the light of day. But then, I saw a posting on Avon Romance's Facebook page; an open call for Valentine's Day novellas. I never expected to have The Trouble it Sexy pulled from the slush pile, or dared hope for the eight other books and one novella that would follow it. But now, I get to live in my special world where even when life get's hard and the chips are down, anything can be overcome with humor, good friends and family, and a happily ever after. Because, let's face it, life isn't always like it is in books. That is why the world of romance is so important. Every book, every HEA, and every hero an author makes you sigh over, can help relieve your stress and worry, at least for a little while. It's why I read amazing authors, from YA to Historical, Indie or Traditionally published, I love them all. When I'm not writing, I love to kick back with my kids and take a nap or watch a movie, catch up on my must watch shows, knit a scarf, or read one of my favorite authors. I have been in love with animals since my first tuxedo Manx at three years old, and have a special fondness for Calicos (even the ornery ones). Even though I am more of a cat person, I adore our family dogs, and adopted a very spoiled PUG named Bella, who has become my shadow (or growth, as my husband likes to call her.) You'll find my animals get to make cameos in my books, and I believe that all fur babies need to be rescued. Oh, and I watch adorable animal videos when I'm sad.Be sure to follow me on Twitter (www.twitter.com/codigary), Facebook (www.facebook.com/codigarysbooks) and check out my website, www.codigarysbooks.com, where you can sign up for my newsletter, and catch up on what's going on with giveaways, events, and more!
