Some great, some not so great. I preferred the shorter, more aphoristic poems to the page-spanning ones. I think it was more an issue of perceived quality than lack of attention span on my part. I do, of course, realize that in this book I probably read much more Coleman Barks than Rumi.

The problem with translations is that one never knows how much of what one is reading is the translator’s voice, and how much is the original artist’s voice.
