I suppose the story wasn't bad, but I thought the paranormal element seemed really random and obligatory.
I wish the colors thing had been explored further--or left out. The way it was just served to add further confusion. Being told that Scott is drawn to Jonah because he doesn't have colors, and then finding out that Jonah's whole family doesn't have them, I wish that were explained better. And why...
This was a cute short story. I got a little confused in the beginning as to who was who, but that didn't last long. I was disappointed we didn't really find out what the seeing colors deal was all about, just that it happened but, overall, it was an enjoyable read.
I didn't understand the whole color-seeing thing at all. It wasn't explored enough to make it useful to understand the character. Then to have it matter so much when the family came to visit the black and white apt just really threw me. why did he have such a temper tantrum if everything was goo...
