Roarke slams his sledgehammer into a rickety wall in his new acquisition, and finds two bodies, skeletons, really, wrapped in plastic. He, naturally, calls his wife, and after the cops are done with the old building, there are ten more plastic-wrapped bundles of remains. They were all girls, betwee...
[2/19/14]This was a good one, but not the best. A good mystery, with some surprises. Not much focus on the Eve-Roarke relationship, but we learn something important about Mavis.
Bodies found behind the walls of a building Rourke plans to renovate, Dallas investigates and her own experiences as a runaway find echoes in the story of what happens. The ending is somewhat unsatisfying and Dallas does feel the same.
I can’t imagine anybody being surprised when I say I love the ‘In Death’ books by J.D. Robb. The fact that I haven’t missed a single title yet, is testament to that. But, it’s more than just the fact that I enjoy these books. J.D. Robb has, over the years, become my go-to author whenever I find myse...
Summary: Leading the demolition of a long-empty New York building that once housed a makeshift shelter for troubled teenagers, Lieutenant Eve Dallas’s husband uncovers two skeletons wrapped in plastic. And by the time Eve’s done with the crime scene, there are twelve murders to be solved. The victim...
Kudos to J.D Robb, next year will be 20 years of writing this consistently good series. That achievement is nothing short of brilliant.I enjoyed reading 'Concealed in Death' - the writing/story/characters is, as always, of a very good standard. Saying that I would have like a little bit more tensi...
Another fast read from talented Ms. Robb. 3.5 star for me. Ms. Robb excels at murder mysteries. I liked how the killer and reason for killing was constructed in this story. Following along with the clues and using logic to unravel the puzzle is quite stimulating. This is a sad one as the remain...
I'm really sad about the last girl, the one they don't know the name for. This book was a little different from the others in the series. Twelve bodies found at the same place, left there for fifteen years. It's a cold case, but not since the bodies are new. I tend to hate cold cases, since people d...
I don't know, I guess that waiting over a month before I even bothered to buy this one should have warned me that I'm a little bit tired of these books. I used to download/read them the week (sometimes even the same night) they came out. But obviously I still pay hardcover ebook prices for them, ...
I have been entranced with the "In Death" series since the early 2000s. I love the dynamic between Dallas and Roarke and really all of the main characters. The actual mystery element in this one was a little lighter than usual, most of the time I'm left guessing until the virtual end whodunit but th...
