Most about-the-author blurbs are written in the third person, but I find it tiresome and dull to do so. So here it is, from the top: my name's Corinn, I'm a lesbian transgender woman, a tomboy with a girly streak, a gigantic nerd who loves role-playing games, visual novels, the occasional anime or manga... oh, and I'm an author of speculative fiction based in the San Francisco Bay Area.I love to write science fiction and fantasy, or science fantasy fiction, or science fiction masquerading as fantasy and everything in between. As you might have noticed, I write stories with predominately female and queer casts, often with mixed-race or otherwise non-white protagonists and supporting characters. When it comes to sci-fi, I'm a big fan of space opera, military sci-fi and very much cyberpunk. Throw in a little sword and sorcery, urban fantasy and romance and that pretty much covers my bases. My first novel-length work, bound together, a Western take on the popular Japanese "light novel" format, was released on March 8, 2015. bound together is the first installment in my ongoing anime-inspired urban fantasy series, Dawn of a New Astral Age. My second released novel, Binary System: Deneb, went live on May 30, 2015, introducing a military science fiction series set in the far future, during an ancient war against mysterious invaders. I've also written two short stories published in the Tides series of anthologies; "Imaginary Numbers" and "Wind and Ash."
