(Crossposted from The Itinerant Librarian) After the events in the previous volume, Pope and Jesus are homeless. However, they soon find a new place to live along with the tenants of the previous building they lived in, who ended up homeless as well. Jesus and Pope are getting along slightly bette...

Mark is badly hit by the Scourge virus and the other heroes rally round. We also learn what happened to Monster Girl and Robot in the Flaxan dimension to create the animosity between them. A Flaxan invasion ensues. Revelations also come into the story. Quite engaging stuff with lots more character...

In this volume, father and son have a mass falling-out as Invincible discovers his father's real motives for being on Earth. Well-written and with good illustrations, the story continues as invincible replaces his father as Earth's champion. Volume 4 next!

The aftermath of Volume 3's surprise: Mark's mother falls into depression, Mark graduates, his love life progresses but alien invasions and trips to Mars get in the way.Still quite engaging but it does go on a bit. There's only so much super-villain squashing that I can take.

There is a lot to like about this superhero story. The idea of a retirement aged superhero who is staring down mortality, wanting to finish his work before dying, wanting to make his family safe and correct his wrongs, is interesting and fun. The final chapter is especially good: what happens when t...
