I liked this action packed story even with its gruesome aspects but the action overshadowed the romance and the hero was overly obsessed with his deceased wife. Lt. Reed investigating a fire finds a victim murdered so is partnered with detective Mia to solve the crime.
This woman just doesn't miss. Count to Ten was another fabulous installment to the series; one of the best, in my opinion. after having read her 6 of her books, her characters are not exactly "new" - as the plot of having burdens and secrets are all there. but still, the suspense is thick and the relationship develop nicely. another good one from ms. rose. PLUS, i love the poem from ms. carrington.
