Kira's been on her own for a while now, relying on her hard-won street smarts and pretty face to survive. But nothing could have prepared her for waking up in a dark room next to Rogan Ellis - notorious serial killer. She doesn't know why she's there, all she knows is that she's forced into an under...

I just finished this book and now I don't know what to do with my life. It was soooooo good! I need a moment to breathe.Okay, first of all: Yes, this is very similar to The Hunger Games, yet it's completely different. The story's very fastpaced and you're thrown right into the game from page one. A ...

Very interesting premise, but I was really irritated by the wishy washy MC, Kira and her back and forth on almost everything. Oh and her constant comments about how hot Rogan was pissed me off after page 10 or so. Like his being attractive made everything okay. Blarg. I did enjoy the concept in part...

100% plot-driven, a bit insta-lovey, and had some aspects that didn't make sense, but if you're in the mood for a fun, fast-paced book crammed full of action, suspense and romance, this will fit the bill!Review soon.

Rogan o...

Going into this book, I thought it would be too similar to other dystopian books that I've read. Some parts of the book felt very familiar, but for the most part...

This review and others are posted at Inspiring Insomnia.Kira and Rogan are strangers forcibly thrown into a deadly "game" called Countdown. Countdown is a fast-paced read that contains a bit of everything: a dystopian society, plenty of action, romance, futuristic technology, and even slight supernatural elements. While all of these ideas were interesting, it felt as though Rowen was trying to include too much in one novel, causing many...
