This is our guide to saving money each day of the week, but we have a one star review which we would like to respond to as follows.....Yardswoman, A One star review;I must admit to being a bit of an addict when it comes to books on money saving which is sad as I waste money buying them. And I certainly wasted my money getting this for my Kindle. The authors admit that they are not black belts when it comes to frugality and there I have to agree. It's a very superficial approach. For example "Warehouse clubs are not for me but many people love them" - but there's no explanation of what a warehouse club is. They suggest selling your unwanted stuff but don't mention ways of selling. They mention Freecycle but the web site address is incorrect. They suggest making sure you are on the best deal for utilities but don't mention any comparison sites or even that comparison sites exist. And they don't even mention setting a proper budget or how to do so.Sorry, can't recommendOur response; This lady has missed the point of our book as she is obviously a black belt and we do not want to give that sort of extreme advice to readers who have realised they need to take some kind of action and don’t know where to start. By giving extreme advice, such as Yardswoman suggests, this will inevitably prove too difficult for beginners to achieve. For that reason we do not discuss warehouse clubs… our experience is they suck you into larger, bulk purchases which are not suitable for counting your pennies. Note; as we say... this is our experience only!Selling unwanted stuff is local to any market place, this book is written for anyone living anywhere in the world, to get too detailed would spoil the essence of our message. The same is true for comparing your utilities, so our mission in this book is to let our readers think what they should do and get on with it in their own community. Likewise budget setting is for advanced thrift and if you want to go down that route then as Yardswoman so rightly says, this book is not for you. Lastly we have reviewed the web reference to www.freecycle.org, and thanks Yardswoman for pointing this out. We do wish we could have more USA websites, but we need your help to achieve this, so just email us!!!So if you need guidelines and good solid advice, quickly and succinctly given, on how to count your pennies then this book is for you!Why you should buy this book...Counting the Pennies is a guide to help you save money.
