Sequel to Cop Out
Toronto Tales: Book Two
Detective Ivan Bekker has hit rock bottom. Not only is he recovering from a bad breakup with a cheating boyfriend, he’s also involved in a drug bust gone bad. Ivan had to kill a man, and his friend was shot and is now fighting for his life. Though Ivan is under investigation for his part in the shooting, his boss sends him on an off-the-books undercover operation to close the case. The timing is critical—this could be their chance to plug a leak in the department.
Off-balance and without backup, Ivan finds himself playing a recent divorcé and becoming Parker Wakefield’s roommate. He finds it hard to believe that sweet Parker could possibly be a criminal, much less have ties to a Russian mafia drug-trafficking operation, and Ivan lets down his guard. His affection is unprofessional, but Parker is irresistible.
When Ivan comes across clear evidence of Parker’s criminal involvement, he has to choose: protect their relationship, regardless of the consequences, or save his career and arrest the man he loves.

I think I gave this book 3.5 stars just because I'm just not sure what to think and I don't remember the last time a book stumped me like this. The first part of this book frustrated the hell out of me because it just seemed like there was a lot of whining going on by both of the MC's granted Ivan h...
HOW DOES A BOOK THAT HASN'T BEEN PUBLISHED OR REVIEWED GET A 3-STAR REVIEW? There are no reviews posted for this book, yet it has a rating. ???UPDATE 5/19/2014I bought the audiobook when it was released and attempted to read it. OMG it was awful. DNFd it at 20%. Too many flaws to enumerate.
Different, but just as good as the first book in the series. Undercover cop falls for suspect, mayhem and misunderstandings, lies and confusion. But a solid HEA. Hot smex. May/December romance which I love almost as much as GFY. As a couple they spend some time apart but it was necessary. My bigges...
3.5 starsSince this is the second in the series, I will compare it to the first book [b:Cop Out|12919441|Cop Out (Toronto Tales, #1)|K.C. Burn|http://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1347678857s/12919441.jpg|18074600] and say it certainly didn't have the emotional component that the first one did...
I loved [b:Cop Out|12919441|Cop Out|K.C. Burn|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1347678857s/12919441.jpg|18074600] but the reviews on this are iffy. And I don't think we met this guy in Book 1 so I'm not particularly attached, will probably skip it.
