This book was pretty good. I've been meaning to read one of J.R. Ward's works for a while now, and I didn't want to start BDB because it's so dang long. I have to say I did enjoy this, but the hype I've seen around her works is really high, and I was expecting something a little more. That being sai...

Opening Line: "She wants you." Jim Heron lifted his eyes from his Budweiser." I'm sure most people picking up Covet are fans of JR Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood and my advice to you would be (as hard as it is) to forget about the Brothers (just for a moment) and enjoy this story for what it is. ...
She Thought What?!?! Rants, Raves, and In-Betweens
★★★★Covet (The Fallen Angels, #1) by J.R. Ward The first of the new FA series, had to give it a chance, since its by the WARDen. The FA series takes place in Caldwell Ny, same as my fav BDB. Yay!!! Another link to my BDB. I was so excited, the series are supposed to collide. Well as of now there ar...

Oh JR Ward, you are so cracktastic, sucking me into a book I can see plot moves of a mile off, characters that are little more than cyphers, cliches scattered with abandon, but I can't put you down! Why is this??? Jim Heron has an accident, dies and is sent back to save the world by saving the soul...

3 stars for story - 4 stars for J.R. Ward's writing. As this is already set in the familiar world of Caldwell, NY (from the BDB series), there wasn't much world building to do. The characters were definitely interesting, and there was some interesting setup for future paranormal goodness... but it w...

DoveOriginal Publication Year: 2009Genre(s): Paranormal Romance, Urban FantasySeries: Fallen Angels (#1)I’m a bit bemused by this one and I will attempt to explain why. It is the first J.R. Ward book I’ve read, so perhaps I’m just late to the game but this b...

Interesting start to a series. I'm glad Jim is the focus because I couldn't care less for Vin and Marie-Therese. Insta-love! I'll read the next and see where this goes.

the ending was not what I expected. in a way it was better than I had expected. I really enjoyed it, the characters are believable, endearing. I do like J.R Ward, the writing style, the character development, the attention to detail that draws the reader into the book.

Suppose that the end is near and one side gets to choose the fate of the world, either all good or all evil. That is the premise of this series. Good and Evil set about choosing one “player” who is neither good nor evil but a perfect combination of both to decide the fate of the world. The winner (e...
