by Dave McKean, Neil Gaiman
transcribed verbatim from babysittee: "A bear!"
Yeah, I'm not a fan of this. I like Dave McKean's style; I like Neil Gaiman's work even when I find him hard to read at times, such as in the some of the Sandman stories (though most of that came from the art work rather then the text). I had a very visceral reaction to this book. I can't quite sa...
Crazy, yes that is how I felt when I read this book. This man has hair that is unruly. I mean things inhabit his hair including cockatoos, hunters, carousels, pirate ships, and this list could go on and on. Just like his locks of hair which tumble out onto the pages with their brown, gold, and bl...

But seriously, I would not recommend this to someone with a nightmare-prone little kid. Despite that, it's a fun little verse story about crazy hair, whi...
Crazy Hair is one of the book that I found in Big Bad Wolf Sale which I try to get for my nephew since when he's getting older, he won't get pink fairy tale book hand-me-downs and instead a creepy Neil Gaiman book.Well, it is a given since these guys made Mirrormask. I don't know about you, it does ...
Neil's words and Dave's art go together like...two things that go very well together. Always have done, and Crazy Hair is no exception. Some of the illustrations might freak small kids out, but it's never too early to show them great art!
Another cute-for-children poem by Gaiman. What makes this little book are the whimsical, saturated images by Dave McKean who must leave little trails of brilliance and paint wherever he goes.
It's got to be nice to be so famous that you can write a fantastical poem based on your own hair, have your friend illustrate it, and have it published. (I mean it! I love Neil, and this book is a hoot, if very bizarre.)
