The blurb reads "She wished something would happen". That's what I wished during the entire book. I don't understand how this book ever one a price, not mentioning the Newbery Medal. One sometimes wonders how there things happen...
Lovely prose but BORING!!!
Very cute "boy-doesn't-meet-girl" story. Honest in feelings for the age group and not all glossed up. The downside of this is it can seem to drag but it was so familiar to me that I kept reading, right to the end.
I guess the best word to describe this book would be "nice" or "pleasant" or "cute". It's one of those books that's just like, "This is a story about LIFE." In other words, it doesn't have much of a plot. It's basically just a bunch of character's thoughts about the world. The writing style is excel...
