Drawn to the quirky, offbeat, and overlooked aspects of film and television, her writing includes work on B-movies, science fiction, and the fantastic. Her most recent publications include edited collections on 1950s "rocketman" television series (Palgrave, 2012), supernatural Westerns (Scarecrow, 2012, 2013), and the neo-Victorian phenomenon known as "steampunk" (Scarecrow, 2012).
