Uusally I love a complex plot full of politics and people playing games against one another, but this time I just couldn't get into it. I'll try reading something else of her's instead.Library copy.

I really liked Cherryh's Chanur, Faded Sun, and Foreigner novels when I was younger, but for some reason never touched anything in the Alliance/Union universe. I can see I'll have to change that--though I've read that the Union is the villain in most of them, which is going to feel slightly odd afte...
