Hi! Thanks for stopping by my author page. I'm D.A. Keeley (and John R. Corrigan and, believe it or not, K.A. Delaney).BITTER CROSSING, the first book in the Peyton Cote series, was a finalist for a Maine Literary Award. I'm thrilled you're considering reading a book in my new series. Peyton Cote is a kick-ass US Customs and Border Protections agent and a single mom. She struggles to balance the two. A unique aspect of these novels is that they are set in northern Maine's Aroostook County, a fascinating and wonderful place where I lived for ten years. Now, I live and work at Northfield Mount Hermon School in Gill, Massachusetts.I love to hear from readers, so please reach out. You can learn more about Peyton by visiting dakeeley.blogspot.com or by following me on twitter @ DAKeeleyAuthor.FALLEN SPARROW will be out in June 2015. It's the sequel to BITTER CROSSING (2014), all part of a three-book contract.I have been an educator for 20 years, so I enjoy speaking at schools and libraries and offering workshops. Writing pedagogy is a particular interest. I enjoy visiting schools and offering writing workshops, so feel free to reach out to me via Twitter.I was born in Augusta, Maine, and live with my wife and three daughters at Northfield Mount Hermon School (Mass.), where I'm the English department chair, a teacher, and may very well be the only mystery writer in America who's also a dorm parent. In 1979, prior to many discoveries in the field of learning disabilities, I was broadly diagnosed as "learning disabled, presumed dyslexic" -- a theme that resonates through some of my works.I played college hockey, then covered the city desk at a couple newspapers before heading south to attend the University of Texas at El Paso where I earned a master's of fine arts degree. Along with a host of other writers, I write a regular post for the Type M for Murder blog-site (http://typem4murder.blogspot.com/). A Mainer through and through, I try to get to Old Orchard Beach as often as possible. If you'd like to read something I've written, all my titles are available in hardcover, paperback, and a variety of electronic formats.
